Your family's privacy, in plain language.
KidOS is a product of Human Foundry, designed for children — but we know parents are the ones who need to feel confident about how their child's information is handled. So we keep things simple: we collect the minimum we need to run the app, we never use it to advertise to your child, and you're always in control of what's shared and what gets deleted. This page explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have as a parent.
Basic technical information — device type, app version, and crash reports — so we can keep KidOS working properly. The app stores don't give us anything more precise than your country.
When you create an account, we collect your name and email (or basic profile info if you sign in with Google), plus a PIN you set yourself to approve rewards and changes — we store the PIN securely, never as plain text. If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is handled entirely by the Google Play Store; we never see or store your card details.
A child can try KidOS on their own in a limited "Starter Mode" with just a first name and age — no rewards, no saved progress across devices. Before anything more unlocks, a parent has to create and confirm their own account first. Once that happens, we store your child's first name, age, and (only if you choose to add them) gender and general location. We also store what they use in the app: daily activities completed, points earned and spent, reward requests, and their Weekly Insights.
We do not collect your child's precise location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone access, or any government ID. We never build advertising profiles of children, and we never show your child ads.
As a parent, you can always:
Email support.kidos@gmail.com to do any of these — we'll confirm it's really you before making changes, and handle deletion requests within a reasonable time.
We use what we collect only to:
We don't sell family data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own advertising purposes. The only times we share information are with the service providers who help us run the app (see below), if the law requires it, or if KidOS is ever acquired — under the same privacy commitments described here.
We use Google Firebase to run our sign-in, database, and app-diagnostics — it's a standard, widely-used service for apps like ours, and Google only processes this information on our behalf. Subscriptions are billed through the Google Play Store, not by us directly.
KidOS is developed in India. If you're using the app from elsewhere, your information may be processed in India or wherever our service providers operate. Wherever you're located, the same protections described on this page apply to your family's data.
